Born and raised in Denmark I have always been fascinated by the natural world and the animals that we share it with. For many years I explored the local forest near my home, where meetings with the native birds, plants, and other wildlife contributed to this passion. At age 17 I traveled to the Gambia as part of a school excursion and brought along with me a small digital camera to document the birds of this African country, every species being noted in the field guide I also brought along. Little did I know that this would later prove to be the beginning of my adventures as a wildlife photographer, and result in many memorable hours in nature across the world. Much has happened since, yet the underlying motive of documentation bird species and their behavior has stayed the same.
Later, a general interest in photography grew from that initial focus, with a growing interest and expertise in drone and more artistic photography, and experimenting with artificial and natural light to create evocative photos.

Yet the main focus is still wildlife and especially bird photography, where my goal is to convey the magnificence of the birds of the world and give people an opportunity to be captivated by their beauty and bring a small piece of this amazing world into their home.
